Ready to Reschedule....Almost!

Teddy continues to have all kinds of labs and testing done to learn more about what's going on with him - you can read about it at his mom's blog. When talking about how to decide whether to schedule summer activities or not, I joked to Sarah that she should schedule a bunch of things, because that's when they'd decide to reschedule. I added that I'd schedule a few things too, just to be safe. I've been wanting to start training for something new, but have been putting off signing up for anything because I didn't want to sign up and then not be able to do it. I decided I might as well, since we had no idea when surgery would be. (And training for a race, even if I don't get to do the race, is just good for me!)
Monday night I registered for the 8k run at our town's summer festival.
Wednesday Sarah got a call from transplant saying we can go ahead and reschedule! I knew that would work. :)
They told Sarah they'd call me today (Thursday) to get some dates from me. I waited until noon, hadn't heard anything, so I called. My coordinator is out of the office for an extended time, has a very vague auto-reply on her email, and hadn't told me she'd be gone, so I'm worried that she's not well.
But I talked to her supervisor, who told me of the other coordinator that will be covering. I've really liked my coordinator and she's great at communicating, so I hope the new one is just as good.
The supervisor told me the transplant team (or at least part of it) is meeting again this afternoon to determine what needs to happen before the surgery, and once they had that established my coordinator would call me, either later today or tomorrow, to get some dates.
I am hoping we can do it in July. August is a busy month for us, with an anniversary, two birthdays, and the first day of school, plus the state fair and a wedding to go to. But we'll make it work whenever! They had told us when surgery was cancelled that they wouldn't wait for a Thursday (which is the day they do transplants) to be open, that they would double-book a day. So as long as our surgery is first, that sounds good to me.

That's what I said about double-booking, too. Um... as long as we're the first ones. :-)
